Welcome to the San Diego Digital SLR Photography Group


We welcome all DSLR photographers in the San Diego area to our online camera club. Our aim is to be a center of excellence for DSLR photography in San Diego, California.

San Diego Digital SLR Photography Group is an informal camera club of digital photographers in San Diego California. Our aim is to encourage DSLR owners to get the most from their cameras by joining a community of like-minded individuals who love their art and enjoy sharing their knowledge of photography.

We meet for regular photography group shoots on the second Saturday of each month at locations around San Diego County. The venue is usually announced on the web site around two weeks before the scheduled date. Images from the DSLR group shoots are shared on this site for all members to enjoy in a non-competitive way.

La Jolla Cove is one of the most picturesque locations in all of San Diego. Besides the beaches and the Cove, there are many other architectural and cultural landmarks within a couple of blocks of each other. To name a few; Museum of Contemporary Arts, La Valencia Hotel, Grande Colonial Hotel,...

Other popular photography spots include Cormorant’s Cliffs to see nesting Cormorants and other birds, La Jolla Cove – the most photographed beach in Southern California, tide pools, and the children’s pool to see the seals. Of course, downtown La Jolla is full of interesting people and unique boutiques and restaurants.
