Join us for an early evening wander around the Hotel del Coronado to photograph and enjoy the holiday lights. We'll get there a little before sunset, shoot for a couple of hours and afterwards we'll find someplace agreeable for dinner.

Meet Time / Place:  Sunday, December 19th, at 4:00PM. Meet at the south side of the ice skating rink at the Hotel del Coronado. There are some benches along the walk-way, we can gather there. Sunset is at 4:46PM on Sunday.

Be sure to bring a tripod, and I've found a wide-angle lens to come in handy, both outside and in the lobby for the Christmas Tree.  A flashlight is handy as well.

Parking Suggestions:  There are lots of spaces along the beach-front road just north of the hotel. I've always been able to find something out there, you might have to walk a block or two. If you're driving south on Orange Ave from the bridge, turn right at the light just before the hotel, and start looking for a place to park. The sidewalk on the water side of that street turns into a walkway between the hotel and the sand, and goes right past the ice skating rink where we'll meet.

Dinner:  I thought we might shoot for a couple of hours, then go looking for a place for dinner. Normally I would suggest the Il Fornaio at the Ferry Landing, but there will be no parking over there due to the Boat Parade that night. We should be able to find something we all agree on out on Orange Avenue within walking distance of the hotel.
