November Group Shoot – The 21st Annual San Diego Veterans Day Parade November 10th – 9:00am
It’s time to remember and honor the brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to protecting our nation – those who have fought, and those who continue to fight for each of us in service to the United States.
In November 1918, an armistice was signed between the Allied Nations and Germany, going into effect on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. At that point, fighting ceased in the “war to end all wars,” also known as World War I. One year later, President Wilson proclaimed November 11th 1919 as the first commemoration of Armistice Day. An official holiday since 1926, and a national holiday in 1938, the name was changed to Veterans Day in 1954 to honor all US Veterans.
